Pallet integrity testing is a crucial evaluation process to assess the structural integrity and performance of pallets used in storage and transportation. The purpose is to ensure that pallets can safely support and prot ect the loads they carry... Read More
Pallet testing evaluates a product’s resistance to shocks, vibrations, and other stresses encountered during handling and transit. Bad pallet packaging can be costly and affect a variety of things, including lost sales, product repairs, and lost customer loyalty.
The expenses incurred by online sellers rise in tandem with the expansion of the eCommerce sector. Chargebacks and prep costs are frequent occurrences for businesses. Pallet integrity package testing’s ultimate purpose is to assist you in obtaining the required certification for the product to always reach the consumer in the manner for which it was intended. Many brands, including Home Depot, Costco, HSN, TJX, etc., have requirements for shipping that must be met.
Pallet testing, when performed properly, can lead to advantages like:
In the same way that pallets are shipped, they are also tested. A real distribution cycle is intended to be simulated during the testing.
The manufacturer establishes pass or fail criteria before the start of the testing. This comprises:
A sample is then selected. The unit being tested must be as similar to the items being shipped as possible. Following the selection of a sample, the test proceeds according to either of the test sequences listed below in ISTA 3B or ISTA 3E.
Precision drops from various heights and angles are possible with Infinita lab’s test apparatus. Also, our package testing facility has several compression testers and shakers that can move up to 12 kips.
More than 20 climatic chambers, ranging in size from reach-in to huge walk-in chambers up to 1,300 cubic feet, are used by us. These thermal chambers are large enough to fit heavy machinery and complete cars. All sizes and shapes of flexible and rigid packages can be tested by Infinita.
This standard tests a package’s capacity to withstand risks associated with transit. ISTA 3B analyses when various kinds of packed goods are delivered by truck in more detail. Mixed loads from various shippers with various planned destinations are not unusual. This is known as LTL (Less-Than-Truckload).
Units that are palletized or skidded are subjected to a 13-step test procedure by ISTA 3B.
Atmospheric preconditioning test sequence 1: temperature and humidity
Test Sequence 2: Regulated temperature and humidity for atmospheric conditioning
Shock – Tip/Tip over in Test Sequence 3
Test Sequence 4: Rotational drop and shock
Test Sequence 5: Shock, optional free-fall drop, incline or horizontal impact
Test Seq. 6: Random Vibration
Test Sequence 7: Focused impact and shock
Test Sequence 8: Shock – Handling of forklifts
Test Sequence 9: Shock – Handling of forklifts
Test Sequence 10: Shock – Handling of forklifts
Test Sequence 11: Handling Shock – Fork Life
Test Sequence 12: Rotational drop and shock
Test Sequence 13: Shock, optional free-fall drop, incline or horizontal impact
An advanced test called ISTA 3E is used to assess a product’s and package’s capacity to withstand distribution dangers. Real or institutionally packaged goods that have been sent from one producer to a distribution hub may be found in similar packages.

ASTM E572 test method covers the analysis of stainless and alloy steels by Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry (WDXRF). It provides rapid, multi-element determinations with sufficient accuracy to assure product quality.
The ASTM D2674 test is a standard test method for the analysis of sulfochromate etch solutions used in the surface preparation of aluminum. The ASTM D2674 standard specifies a method for determining the efficacy of an etchant used to prepare the surface of aluminum alloys for subsequent adhesive bonding.
An immunological method for quantization of Hevea Natural Rubber (HNRL) proteins using rabbit anti-HNRL serum. Rabbits immunized with HNRL proteins react to the majority of the proteins present, and their sera have the capability to detect most if not all the proteins in HNRL.
ASTM G65 measures the resistance of metallic materials to abrasion using the dry sand/rubber wheel apparatus. The quality, durability, and toughness of the sample are determined using this test. Metallic materials are ranked in their resistance to scratching abrasion under a controlled environment.
ASTM E2141 test methods provide accelerated aging and monitoring of the performance of time-dependent electrochromic devices (ECD) integrated in insulating glass units (IGU). This test helps to understand the relative serviceability of electrochromic glazings applied on ECD.
ASTM C724 test method is used in analyzing the quality and ease of maintenance of a ceramic decoration on architectural-type glass. This test method is useful in the acknowledgment of technical standards.
