Insulated Materials Test as per ASTM D2303
The ASTM D2303 test is a type of testing procedure made to look at materials’ resistance to erosion, liquid contamination, and inclined plane tracking. The behavior of distinct types of materials to various voltages and conditions may vary. As a result, ASTM D2303 testing procedures take into account these distinct responses. The procedures are also modified in light of any unique difficulties that materials can encounter in tough industrial environments.
For tracking evaluation, the “varying voltage” and “time-to-track” processes are utilized in the materials standard test. In order to evaluate erosion resistance, the test also makes use of specialist contaminant solutions.
