ASTM G155
Products for outdoor use are produced by almost all industries. Outdoor furniture, playground equipment, siding and roofing materials, cars, and all of these things spend a lot of time enduring the elements and the sun’s damaging rays. You must be certain that the materials you use for design and production will stand up to wear and time before you start.
To move on with your design or modify your products as necessary, ASTM G155 was developed to assist you in determining how your materials would respond to weathering. However, for the procedure to be successful, you must collaborate with a lab that understands how to manage every aspect of the test to provide you with the most precise findings possible. This know-how is provided by Infinita Labs. For more than 30 years in business, we have developed into a leader in weathering testing, and we use this knowledge in everything we do.
For All Your ASTM G155 Testing Needs, Choose Infinita Labs
The partner you require for all testing service applications is Infinita Labs. Our reputation for excellence is largely a result of the many advantages we provide to our clients, including:
Fast turnaround: We deliver accurate test findings within two weeks of your test’s completion — the industry’s fastest turnaround time — so you can move forward with your project study and design. Your xenon arc exposure test will be finished even sooner if your short turnaround time demands results in less than two weeks.
Wide-ranging testing capabilities: Infinita Labs can help you with any testing your products may require. We provide a variety of ASTM testing services in addition to the ability to create custom tests according to the requirements of your particular industry.
industry-leading knowledge Infinita Labs has been offering commercial and industrial product testing services to companies all around the world for more than three decades. We apply the expertise and experiences we’ve gained over the years to provide you with the best answer for your particular problems.
What Does Xenon Arc Exposure Testing Per ASTM G155 Mean?
The best techniques for xenon arc testing are outlined in ASTM G155. This weathering test is best carried out on non-metallic materials designed for outdoor, bright-light usage. It is comparable to ASTM G154, a common form of weathering test. The G155 test uses xenon arc lamps as opposed to the G154 test, which simulates outdoor weather with fluorescent lights.
To create light, xenon arc lamps use electricity to ionise xenon gas. These lamps are renowned for being able to reproduce the whole spectrum of sunlight. The ASTM G155 test, which simulates sunlight as closely as possible using xenon lamps, is the better option for outdoor products.
The G155 standard doesn’t outline a single method for testing a material. The xenon arc exposure technique, however, often entails repeatedly cycling through light and moisture cycles in a regulated artificial environment.

ASTM E572 test method covers the analysis of stainless and alloy steels by Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry (WDXRF). It provides rapid, multi-element determinations with sufficient accuracy to assure product quality.
The ASTM D2674 test is a standard test method for the analysis of sulfochromate etch solutions used in the surface preparation of aluminum. The ASTM D2674 standard specifies a method for determining the efficacy of an etchant used to prepare the surface of aluminum alloys for subsequent adhesive bonding.
An immunological method for quantization of Hevea Natural Rubber (HNRL) proteins using rabbit anti-HNRL serum. Rabbits immunized with HNRL proteins react to the majority of the proteins present, and their sera have the capability to detect most if not all the proteins in HNRL.
ASTM G65 measures the resistance of metallic materials to abrasion using the dry sand/rubber wheel apparatus. The quality, durability, and toughness of the sample are determined using this test. Metallic materials are ranked in their resistance to scratching abrasion under a controlled environment.
ASTM E2141 test methods provide accelerated aging and monitoring of the performance of time-dependent electrochromic devices (ECD) integrated in insulating glass units (IGU). This test helps to understand the relative serviceability of electrochromic glazings applied on ECD.
ASTM C724 test method is used in analyzing the quality and ease of maintenance of a ceramic decoration on architectural-type glass. This test method is useful in the acknowledgment of technical standards.
