HDPE’s linear structure, on the other hand, implies that it has relatively few branches, giving it more intermolecular forces and tensile strength than LDPE. Because of this, an HDPE container weighing only 60 grams may securely hold the equivalent of almost a gallon of liquid, or around eight pounds in weight.
