Specific Heat Capacity Testing and Measurement Services
The thermal performance and heat management design of materials can be revealed by measuring their properties under specific operating conditions. Specific heat capacity is one such measure and it varies with temperature, potentially exhibiting different behavior under non-ambient pressure. To measure this, special tools are available, such as crucibles with high pressure (over 500 bar) and temperatures above 1600 °C.
Specific heat capacity measurements can be used in a wide range of applications, covering petrochemical liquids and powdered additives in production, as well as cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food science, electronics, liquid polymers, pre-polymers, and process safety.
A variety of items can be tested for specific heat capacity. We have experience working with textiles, foams, metals, polymers, oils & lubricants, solvents, laboratory chemicals, food items, and textiles. Different approaches may be applicable for certain materials, but we have the expertise and technology to do heat capacity testing on a variety of materials.
