Scope:
ASTM C136/C136-19 is highly significant in terms of grading material that is either being selected for aggregate or being used as aggregate. Then it is further used to determine compliance of the particle size distribution to control the production of multiple aggregate products.
Procedure:
To perform ASTM C136/C136M-19 test method for Sieve Analysis of Fine and Coarse Aggregates, the mass of the sample is to be measured first. Then it is being separated through multiple sieves of particularly narrow openings to measure particle size distribution.
Specimen Detail:
The given sample must be dried at a temperature of 110 °C [230 °F].
Result:
In this way, by carefully passing the given material into the narrow openings of various sieves, Fine and Coarse Aggregates can easily be separated and analyzed.
Conclusion:
ASTM C136/C136-19 is very important in terms of grading material. It has vast scope in the sieve analysis of materials. Therefore, it is the most preferable to analyze fine and coarse aggregates.
