ASTM D3489 Microcellular Urethane Materials

Scope:

ASTM D3489 provides information on various test methods made on materials and has the potential in controlling manufacturing processes, giving considerable value in comparing the physical properties of different materials, and as a basis for writing specifications.

Procedure:

In ASTM D3489, all tests intend to be made by the methods given in Sections 7-23.

Specimen size:

The three recommended test specimen sizes for ASTM D3489 are as follow (Length, width, and thickness):

 305 by 152 by 3.15 mm, 305 by 152 by 6.3 mm, and 305 by 152 by 12.5 mm.

Results

Results are reported within the individual test methods called out in these test methods.
