ASTM C690 Alumina and Quartz powder Particle Size Distribution

Scope:

ASTM C690 for the particle size distribution uses electrical current for the test. It determines the particle size distribution for material specification. Procedure:

ASTM C690 test is performed using an electrical sensing zone particle counter, coulter counter, and aperture tubes with diameters ranging from 30 to 140 μm. Each particle passes and generates an electrical pulse that is recorded on an electrical counter. Via an aperture, it generates individual pulses with amplitude proportional to particle volume.
