ORIGINAL PHYSICAL PROPERTIES

Original Physical Properties testing of rubber materials is a key step in understanding and evaluating the performance of these materials. Tensile testing measures the point of failure when the material is elongated in tension. This information is used to ensure quality control or determine the material’s performance in various environmental conditions. Tear testing measures the resistance of the material to tearing when a rupture point is introduced. The maximum force recorded upon tearing is used to assess the tear strength.

These tests are performed at both elevated and sub ambient temperatures. Additionally, hardness testing is done with either hand-held or stationary equipment to record the durometer of the material. This is done by penetrating the material with a special indentor and then measuring the durometer after a given period of time. Original Physical Properties testing is a crucial part of analyzing and characterizing elastomer, plastic, and thermoplastic materials. It helps to identify the physical properties of the material, such as its strength, flexibility, and resilience. This information can then be used to create materials with specific characteristics for different applications.
