SPECIAL ANALYSES TESTING

Liquid fuel testing is an important part of the energy production process in the United States. Testing of indigenous fuels is performed to ensure that they meet the necessary standards for use in power plants. The fuel testing laboratory must be able to provide a comprehensive range of services to customers in order to guarantee the highest quality available.

Since 1957, the power plant industry has relied on fuel testing laboratories to examine and analyze a variety of fuels, such as coal, jet, diesel, and #6 fuel. More recently, the scope of testing has expanded to include biomass products and other materials like recycled and old-growth wood, pellets, cocoa shells, peat, paper, and plastics. Diesel fuel testing laboratories have been authorized for use in nuclear power plants, and they have the capability to test for stack emissions using Method 29 on boilers and incinerators. Specialized testing is also available for sites affected by petroleum products and oil spills, as regulated by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the UST.

By working with a reputable fuel testing laboratory, customers can be sure that their energy production sources meet the necessary standards and requirements. With the right tools and expertise, fuel testing laboratories are able to provide the highest level of quality assurance available.
