Scope:

The ASTM A105/A105M-21 test method covers the characteristics of steel forgings and steel bars, determining their applications and specifications. The specimen size should be according to the requirements. In this case, the specimen was taken so that the forgings produced weighed 4540 Kg.

The method covers the certification, sampling, testing, and specimen inspection within the set limits. E stands for elongation, and T represents the thickness.
