Torque Calibration

global foundries amd

The devices used to apply torque throughout industrial processes undergo routine torque calibration to ensure repeatable precision. To evaluate whether any adjustments are required, the torque calibration test equipment compares the instrument's output torque to the permitted tolerance. Businesses that use torque instruments discover that Infinita lab's torque calibration services help them retain traceability and accurate measurement, which supports the quality of their operations.

Tour of Infinita lab’s Torque Calibration

A torque transducer, tensiometer, torque sensor, and other devices can all be calibrated at Infinita lab with loads up to 2,000 ft-lbs. It is also common practice to calibrate torque wrenches. The highly qualified personnel at the lab can also preset any torque device. Our service is quick, and the calibration outcomes are consistently correct.

For each item certified, a Calibration Certificate is given out, detailing the torque calibration that was done. The certifications provide thorough calibration results as well as details on NIST traceability, A2LA accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025, and “as received” and “as left” conditions demonstrating calibration modifications.

Many torque instruments, including those below within the ranges indicated, can be calibrated and verified by our experts.

The Processes Of Torque Calibration

Torque calibration specifications are derived from several sources, such as manufacturer recommendations, ANSI/ASME standards, government regulations, and client requirements.

The calibration of torque sensors, preset screwdrivers, and torque wrenches use a torque system that allows users to choose the best transducer for their instrument’s operating range from a variety of options. Transducers are used to calibrate torque multipliers as well, although two are needed. When the other transducer measures the torque output, the first transducer measures the created torque input.

While calibrating a cable tensiometer, a known cable diameter and a set amount of deadweight attached to the cable are used. To ensure that the instrument is reading correctly, the cable tensiometer is fastened to the cable with the suspended weight. This test is repeated using a variety of cables and loads that are adequate for the calibrating instrument.

Torque wheels, arms, and weights are used to calibrate torque transducers, testers, and clocks. To calculate the torque produced, a known length and weight are used as the basis for this operation.

All instruments log “as received” data depending on specified test points. The calibration process records all modifications as “as left” circumstances. Both are detailed along with the calibration findings on the calibration certificate.
