Drinking Water

Ensuring the quality of drinking water is a crucial necessity for all communities. As such, it is important to rigorously test and analyze water sources and samples for contaminants and pollutants. Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFASs) are some of the most common synthetic compounds found in water sources, as they can accumulate in sediments and soil. Tests for residual chlorine and pH levels must also be performed, as their cooperative effects are key to properly treating water.

It is essential to maintain proper levels of residual chlorine, as it is a disinfectant that diminishes the incidence of waterborne diseases. This can be challenging, however, as residual chlorine levels can change over time. Accurate pH levels are also important, as they interact with residual chlorine to effectively treat water. Therefore, both parameters should be routinely checked and monitored in order to ensure that water supplies remain safe and clean.  Adhering to these testing and analysis practices is essential in order to guarantee quality drinking water.
