High Pressure Accelerated Aging Test Chamber

The high pressure accelerated aging test chamber is a common piece of equipment used in accelerated aging tests to generate high temperatures and pressure. In accelerated aging tests, such environmental conditions are required to analyze the shelf life of a product without actually testing the product’s operational life in real time.

The high pressure accelerated aging test chamber is also known as the HAST chamber. They are mainly used to test IC sealing packages, LCD/LED screens, multi-layer PCBs, magnetic materials, semiconductors, etc. It tests these products for their resistance to pressure and air tightness. The chambers are also employed for quality analysis of food, chemicals, metals, and plastics. The chamber should have a double overheat protection device for automatic cut-off and cover protection to protect the worker.

Common Uses of the HAST chamber

  • Generate and maintain aggravated environmental conditions.

Limitation of the HAST chamber

  • May not provide accurate results when testing papers.

Industrial Application of the HAST chamber

  • Metals and alloys
  • Packaging
  • Pharmaceuticals
